The first few images are from a cute little cafe in Monterey called Happy Girl Kitchen, everyone was sitting around drinking coffee being cute and festive with the holly sprawled across the table. That same day we all decided a road trip to Santa Cruz was necessary. So off we went, with the sun roof open to enjoy some sweet California sunshine. We found our way to the boardwalk, where it was impossible not to take thousands of photos in the magical light.
First few images from a cafe within the New Museum—super cool building with a killer exhibition on at the moment, and Tacombi—what started as a rad taco VW bus in Mexico but is now permanently in NY. The next few images are from the Whitney Museum, and holy heck was it good. My favourite out of all the ones we went to by far! Some really awesome permanent and temporary exhibitions on at the moment. Not to mention the sweet rebrand by Experimental Jetset. We also had a quick peak at Grand Central Station to get some much needed tourist snaps, and lastly, went to the Guggenheim to check out the beautiful building which yes, lived up to it's absolutely incredible reputation. And that ends our New York journey! Back to California (:
More and more of NYC, and more to come still. The outrageously beautiful Central Park, one day it was brown, green and leafy and the next covered in snow. It definitely reminds me of slightly more extreme Melbourne weather.
A couple more shots from Brooklyn at the start, followed by the Knicks vs. Celtics game we attended which 1. the Knicks lost very badly, and 2. Adam Sandler was at our game. The rest are from the glorious Ace Hotel/Stumptown, sisters, general city galavanting, beautiful buildings and one particularly worthwhile mention is Dudleys. If you're an Australian and have traveled to the States you know how hard it is to find a light breakfast and not only a flat white, but an incredibly made one at that. But also with free coffee refills—so really it's the perfect mix of Australian and American hospitality. A+ from me.
